I like the depth though the dusty finish is somewhat short at present

A brooding and inexpressive nose mixes notes of red pinot fruit with a lovely array of spice and floral elements

silky tannins

intense and voluminous flavors that possess fine length and balance

the 2021 Pinot Noir Weber Vineyard entices with dark florals and black raspberries

Vincent Girardin, Corton Charlemagne Quintessence Vintage:2019 I like the depth though(from Le Charlemagne in Aloxe). A wonderfully fresh nose combines notes of just sliced green apple and citrus confit with those of essence of dried flowers and a whisper of exotic tea. There is excellent punch and power to the larger scaled flavors that display a touch of muscle on the austere, serious and balanced finale. While the finish does flirt with rusticity, I suspect that this will gradually dissipate with bottle age.
