I gave it a couple of extra days open to be sure just how lovely it was

offering juicy dark berry and cherry pit flavors and a touch of licorice

but it should be well worth the wait as this is most impressive

This is a bit finer than usual thanks to the relatively dense but fine-grained tannins though I underscore that finer than usual or not

This is more overtly sauvage with an intensely earthy character that includes very fresh red currant

this is a classic Griotte that should amply reward 10 to 15 years of cellaring
