Description
Ben Glaetzer, Amon Ra Vintage:2005Deep purple black in color, the 2010 Amon Ra is very closed on the nose showing pure black fruits, chocolate and licorice with just a touch of loam. Full bodied and densely packed, the voluptuous palate is framed by firm, fine tannins and a crisp acid line. It has a long, well balanced finish. Drink it from 2014 2026+.
He normally releases two Cornas
This is developing quite well and it could pop another point if it continues on its upward trajectory
This is evolving glacially and certainly much slower than I originally foresaw but it should be a stunner of a Clos de Vougeot when it finally reaches its peak
pear and a whiff of tangerine peel combine to serve as a pretty introduction to the round
the 2020 Guillot Clauzel has turned out beautifully
this may be the most under rated wine in the de Montille portfolio with its ripe
tannic finish that has immense precision
which need a lot more time
I was mildly surprised to find a bit of reduction in the bottled version though not enough to completely hide the otherwise ripe
And a tiny hint of dried fruit on the end
(from Aux Réas and Au Dessus de la Rivière)
with fabulous depth
