This is the first vintage of Yalumba s new Cabernet/Shiraz-based flagship wine

The palate has a slightly candied feel

amaro mountain herbs and black tea edge to the aromatics

the 2010 Pinot Noir Cerise is rich

Ready to drink but will age

Bitouzet Prieur, Meursault Perrieres Blanc other_regions_italy This is the first vintage(from 30+ year old vines). Once again there is a plethora of floral influences to the lemon lime, mineral reduction and passion fruit scents. The intense, overtly stony and penetrating middle weight flavors display first rate persistence on the very firm finale. This is already lovely and if it develops better depth with time in bottle it could well achieve the upper end of my projected range. In sum, this is a classic Perrires.
