(1904-1995) Charcoal Excited by an exhibit ofLithograph, extensively hand colored in oil and varnished by the artist, circa 1940's, 9 7 16 x 13 7 16, signed in pencil, and hastily annotated with mispellings verso: "Finished color on Loging train for Calender from Dale Nichols". Printed directly on a pebbled illustration board, There is a barely noticeable repaired 1" tear to the left of the fishing figure at lower right and a professionally repaired loss at the bottom edge of the illustration
