Nipped in waistline and a full skirt sewn in inchwide pleats

Skirt flares out into a generous fullness and finishes below the knee

Not entirely sure what the history of this is but I've had this print before and it was Alice Edwards "Italians" range

and the occasional hand stitches

50s SHEER YELLOW AND GREY STRIPED DAY DRESS - S Autumn CONDITION Good conditionSweet pale yellow and grey striped day dress in a semi sheer crinkled textured nylon. Fitted bodice with a collarless v neck and sleeveless design. Double breasted with eight small shank buttons to fasten. Fitted waistband with side metal zipper. Full skirt sewn in narrow gathers, not massive, but does accommodate a smaller petticoat for added fullness. No labels. Dress is pictured with a petticoat which is not included in the sale.
