Roe Deer - on rare Elm wood - size 20 x 28cm - Number 16 from signed limited edition stencil shed Double trouble - I doOh Deer Roe Deer on beautiful piece of rare Elm wood. After seeing these beautiful creatures myself a few times over the past few years, I had a great discussion with my new local wood supplier of barky ash planks, about this lovely British animal. He quizzed me on why they have such short antlers and obviously I didn't know why! Apparently they shead their antlers once a year and therefore makes all the deer males and females look similar and young.
